Description
Galaxy Red Turquoise Discus Fish, this strain is a new twist on an old favorite. It has been selectively bred for its brighter neon blue and red tiger stripes. Like the red turquoise discus fish they are very prolific breeders. Adults will grow up to 8 inches on a diet of frozen bloodworms and krill. This strain is very round and the tiger stripe design flows vertically and horizontally through the body. I like the vivid neon color that this strain displays as an adult. If your fancy is a nice striated discus fish, the Galaxy Red Turquoise is the one that will show off its colors the best and makes a pleasant addition to your discus fish aquarium.
Discus fish are native to the slow and warm tropical waters of the Amazon River. They eat a variety of fresh water shrimp, worms, insects, and aquatic vegetation. In the wild, discus fish colors are limited to a few varieties which are earth tone in color. This helps to protect them from predators by allowing them to blend into their natural habitat. Through selective cross breeding, tank raised discus fish are now available to the hobbyist in a wide range of vivid colors, like the Galaxy Red Turquoise Discus Fish.

DISCUS PICTURED DOES NOT DO ACTUAL FISH JUSTICE
I have received a beautiful, happy, healthy discus from MAC's DISCUS once again. Large Discus Order
I've bought Discus from Mac for years. We have a 400 gallon Amazon basin tank. The 10 original discus I purchased from him over the years have grown to be the size of small dinner plants. The fish are healthy and a great addition to the family. We just order 16 more 2 1/2" of various types to add to the school. Every time I deal with Mac it is a great experience. Fish arrived as promised in 24 hours,acclimated per instructions time to put them in my tank and what a wonderful surprise, the colors were not to be believed after the stress of shipping and 24 hour darkness she was more than I really dreamed. Hats off to you Mac you have another repeat customer.
