Getting them young is ideal, but they do take some time to reach sexual maturity and have the ability to breed.

When it comes to breeding the King Cobra discus you should also put a lot of emphasis to the diet. The diet should be very nutritious and varied. As a breeder you should make sure that your fish eat it. A diet of live bloodworms and white worms is recommended, but extra care is necessary to ensure that you do not introduce disease to the aquarium.
