Description
The red tiger discus is a standout even among the wide variety of vividly colored and patterned cultivated discus. It is a beautiful blend of spots, striations, and stress bars that creates a discus that will be the star of your tropical aquarium. The red tiger discus has a tan to gold colored body that is covered with an engaging pattern of red spots and striations. It has the stress bars of a classic, wild discus, but the color of the bars on the body is faint. The exception is the head of the red tiger discus, which has a very dark stress bar running through its eyes. The pectoral and dorsal fins of the red tiger discus have red striations and thin stripes on them. The tail fin of this discus is a pale gold or tan color.
The red tiger discus has a round, flat body. At maturity, it can reach a length of 8.” The red tiger discus is round due to the fact that it is almost as tall as it is wide. In addition, the full dorsal and pectoral fins also contribute to its delightfully round shape. As one of the most striking discus ever bred, the red tiger discus is a beautiful show fish that adds a burst of color to your tropical aquarium. brilliant red tigers
The red tigers have exceeded my expectations. They are already displaying psychedelic colors, and they are healthy and vigorous. Definitely, a tank full of these discus would be a thing to behold!

Fish order
The first two I got are spectacular. Terrific from arrival. Beautiful and eating well, right away. The next three have been much more challenging to get to eat. Although all beautiful , two are quite a bit smaller. I apologize if I annoyed Steve, getting my second order right.

I was afraid to buy on-line, but after emailing Steve a couple times i took the plung and purchased 6 fish (3 pairs of 3 different strains). Let me tell you I could not be happier! A little dark with some blue showing, but am sure they will be a brilliant red when the get bigger. What beautiful fish! All were very active once in the tank (follow the directions, you wont have an issue) and were eating right off the bat! Steve has a customer for life!
