Marlboro Discus Fish 3 inch

$47.95

This pretty discus will add a splash of warm color to your tropical aquarium. The Marbolo red discus, as is the case with many cultivated discus, has been specially bred to eliminate the stress bars that appear in vertical lines on the discus that occur in the wild. In addition, it has been bred to produce vibrant colors and a delicate pattern of striations. Most marbolo red discus have a beautiful red orange color on both its head and body, and its fins are the same color. Some marbolo red discus, however, have a gold or yellowish face. A discus with a colored head may display some white striations on it. The stunning flame body color is solid on most marbolo red discus, but some have a more orange or gold undertone. The dorsal and pectoral fins of the red marbolo discus have intensely white striations that contrast beautifully with the vibrant coloring of its body.

Discus fish are coveted by collectors of tropical fish because they are large and beautiful. They also have an amusingly rounded body shape. When it reaches its full grown size, the marbolo discus will be 8” in length. The round shape of the marbolo red discus comes from the fish being almost as tall as it is long. It also has very full, rounded dorsal and pectoral fins, increasing its pleasant roundness. This lovely, flame colored stunner will make a beautiful show fish for your tropical aquarium. The stunning red-orange color will provide contrast among the vegetation and other fish in your tropical aquarium.

Very social!

This fish was the biggest of the bunch that we ordered. It has very vibrant color, and is healthy, eating well, and growing fast. I think this is the most social discus I bought. It immediately started swimming with the discus already in my tank. Swam with the "big boys"
