Description
Red Spotted Green Discus Fish F-2, by selecting the most colorful and spotted, Red Spot Green Discus Fish, came the second generation (F-2). This discus fish was tank raised so the strain became more colorful with each generation over the wild RSG. I believe that nature would not allow such colorful fish in the wild as they would be too flashy and therefore fish bait for larger predators. In captivity we can select for more color and fancy design and continue to breed these until the strain becomes fixed. In the Red Spotted Green F-2 Discus Fish the colors are more vivid, blues bluer and reds redder, this discus fish does not have as much of the earth tone golden color which the wild RSG has. This discus fish’s diet should include frozen bloodworms and krill to maintain maximum color, and can reach an adult size of 7 inches. If you like spotted discus fish with nice design the Red Spotted Green Discus Fish F-2 is a beautiful choice to add to your tropical fish collection.

Beautiful and dominant
I got the Red Spotted Green in addition to the German Brilliant and a 6 pack (highly recommended.) He seems to be the strongest of all the fish I ordered and could become the alpha fish. It's still shy of 24 hours so it's hard to tell for sure, but he is very robust and healthy in the least. All of his markings and colors are very bold and distinct in crisp detail. Definitely a tank favorite so far.

Red spotted green discus
5 Fish arrived on schedule. They have settled in nicely over the past week. The largest fish is a bit of a demon, chasing the others around the tank. Beautiful fish!

We named him Homer
He is a beautiful fish and is very active. Took to the tank within a day. We called him homer because from the profile he looks like Homer Simpson which is perfect as he has a lot of personality too. Already letting us "pet" him and it's only been a week.
